Once a year in September, all of the IAHSP (International Association of Home Staging Professionals™) chapters do a charity event for their local communities called World Wide Staging Service Week. Each chapter picks their charity beneficiary(s) every year. In 2007, I had the opportunity to help the Dallas Chapter (DIRC) with the staging done for a Habitat for Humanity family that was moving into their new home.

The entire three bedroom home was painted and staged with furniture and accessories. The end result was very well received and appreciated by the new home owners. This past year the Dallas and Fort Worth IAHSP Regional Chapters teamed together to revitalize and refurbish Wesley Inn in Dallas, Tx which houses at risk single mothers in need. New carpet, flooring, paint, furniture, and accessories were donated along with many man hours.

The families living in the house were so appreciative of the work we all completed as a team. As an organization, much planning has to be done to guarantee the success of all IAHSP Charity projects. As Staging Professionals, we all look forward to the opportunity in which we can help those in need in our communities. This is what makes our association so special and sets ours apart from others.
